On May 12, 2018, the Veterans Home in Yountville, Calif., welcomed the fourth annual Crush Challenge event, hosted by ZD Wines, with the goal of bringing awareness and funding to a select group of worthy charity efforts. Beneficiaries included the deLeuze Family Endowed Professorship for a Non-Toxic Cure for Lymphoma, the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley.

This year 175 riders participated in the Crush Challenge big race, 200 visitors attended the barrel tasting, over 400 total guests attended the Food & Wine Marketplace, and 110 dinner guests attending the evening’s Exclusive Wine Dinner. While Crush Challenge organizers are still tallying up the amount of fundraising earned this year, the preliminary tally puts gross dollars earned for the 2018 Crush Challenge at more than $100,000. This more than 2.5 times than the 2016 total earnings of $38,000.
