(HONG KONG) May 19, 2020 –  With the fine wine and spirits market as vibrant as ever despite many collectors around the world remaining at home, Acker announced its third spirits-only auction featuring an estimated HKD $16 Million of rare bottlings from around the globe.

On Thursday, May 28th at 7:30pm HKT, Acker will host the auction “live online,” which will feature 326 lots of the most luxurious spirits from legacy distilleries.  With all lots easily accessible to buyers via air and ground services, the contents of the catalogue are up for grabs for spirits lovers worldwide.

Some of the sale’s highlights include an incredible array of over 130 lots from The Macallan, headlined by the ultra-rare Macallan 57 Years in Lalique decanter estimated at HKD$960,000-$1,280,000, The Macallan 72 Years in The Genesis Decanter estimated at HKD$720,000-$960,000, and one of the oldest bottles in the auction, The Macallan 1938 in Crystal Decanter Silver Seal estimated at HKD$144,000-$200,000, offered in an extraordinary engraved decanter circa 1890 and made by Moser, a one of one etching depicting a vibrant scene of a stag in the forest.  Collectible Cognac is well represented by the exclusive Hennessy 8 estimated at HKD$480,000-640,000, a revolutionary, limited-edition Cognac bottled in a Baccarat crystal decanter.

Japanese whiskey shares center stage this sale with over 140 lots from the finest producers in the country.  With 35 lots from Japan’s first commercially recognized Yamazaki distillery, to limited releases such as Hanyu Ichiro’s Malt – Ace of Hearts estimated at HKD$104,000-136,000, which is just one of the twenty-one lots of the Card Series, and even a Hibiki 35 Years in Sakaida Kakiemon XIV Decanter bottling from Suntory estimated at HKD$200,000-280,000.  There is an amazing assortment of rare Japanese whiskeys, many of which are no longer commercially produced.
