DUNDEE, Ore. – October 21, 2020 – Argyle Winery is happy to announce that it has named Briana Seeley to the role of sales & marketing director. Born in the Pacific Northwest, and raised in Oregon, Seeley has extensive sales experience in both the winery and distributor sides of the industry, and comes to Argyle from Adelsheim Vineyards, where she was vice president of consumer sales. In her new role at Argyle, Seeley will work closely with the Argyle leadership team to manage the winery’s acclaimed sales and marketing program. Seeley will also join the executive leadership team of Argyle’s parent company, Distinguished Vineyards & Wine Partners (DVWP), which includes MacRostie Winery in Sonoma County, Markham and Textbook in Napa Valley, and Wither Hills in Marlborough, New Zealand.

The daughter of Oregon restaurateurs, Seeley earned a degree in business marketing from Southern Oregon University, and began her career as a sales representative at Young’s Market Company, where she quickly distinguished herself as a rising star. In 2012, she was named a division manager for Young’s and was entrusted with launching its Estates Group, a new division dedicated to luxury wines. In this role, Seeley oversaw staffing, communications, marketing, logistics, and sales, achieving double-digit growth for the Estates Group, of which she was ultimately named vice president. While at Young’s, Seeley played a key role in establishing the Women’s Partner Network Group, a high-profile leadership development program focused on diversity and inclusion, where she served as co-president. After more than a decade at Young’s, Seeley pivoted to the winery side of the industry to pursue new challenges and her passion for Oregon wine. In addition to her new role at Argyle, Seeley is active in the Oregon wine community, and is the past president and current secretary of Women in Wine, Fermenting Change in Oregon. She is also a certified sake professional and a certified specialist in wine.

“We are thrilled to have Briana leading our sales and market program at Argyle,” says Steve Myers, the managing director of DVWP, North America. “In addition to being one of the most innovative and dynamic young executives in the industry, Briana has strong roots in Oregon, and a deep understanding of what makes it such a world-class wine region. She is also a natural leader and a powerful advocate for diversity and representation in our industry, which are values we hold dear and support strongly in our company culture.”
