After a Successful 2018 Launch, Rutherford Wine Company Adds
Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon to Four Virtues Wines

April 29, 2019— St. Helena, CA— Rutherford Wine Company, known for their portfolio of quality and innovative wine brands, has announced the expansion of the Four Virtues wine brand with two popular varietals—Pinot Noir and Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon (both $20/750ml). Joining Four Virtues Bourbon Barrel Aged Zinfandel (released in 2018), these new offerings showcase the brand’s contemporary wine style and sleek package design. All three Four Virtues Wines are available now, nationwide.

“Four Virtues has generated a following among American wine lovers,” says Four Virtues Winemaker Jay Turnipseed. “The brand’s contemporary approach and quality wine really resonates with our audience. Our aim with the addition of the Pinot Noir and Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon is to continue to offer our customer delicious and unique wines they can share with friends and family.”

The new additions to the Four Virtues Wine include the following:

Four Virtues Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 ($20): This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from California’s Lodi AVA. It offers vibrant aromas of blackberry, cherry and dark chocolate, with notes of cinnamon, roasted coffee beans and toasty oak. The wine is aged in French and American oak and finished in heavily charred oak Bourbon barrels.

Four Virtues Pinot Noir 2017 ($20): This Monterey County Pinot Noir exhibits classic varietal flavors of dark cherry with subtle strawberry, and herbaceous notes of rosemary on the nose. Earthy notes of dried herbs, plums and dried red fruits come through on the palate. This wine is aged using French and American oak. Unlike its brand mates, this wine sees no time in Bourbon barrels due to the delicate nature of the varietal.
