EXPERIENCE ROSÉ ANNOUNCES DETAILS AROUND THE GREAT ROSÉ PAIRING FOR SUMMER EVENT ON JUNE 16 AT THE CIA AT COPIA IN NAPA

Curated Consumer Event Pairs Winning Wines from Experience Rose: The 2018 Competition with Gourmet Cuisine Prepared by Star Students at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – (May 15, 2018) – Craig Palmer and Allen Habel, co-founders of Experience Rosé (formerly Rosé Today), are pleased to announce the lineup of stellar wineries to pour at The Great Rosé Pairing for Summer, a curated consumer event and immersive experience being held at The CIA at Copia – Napa’s heralded center of all things food and wine – on Saturday, June 16. The Great Rosé Pairing for Summer is an extension of Experience Rosé: The 2018 Competition that was held at Soda Rock Winery in Healdsburg, California in April. All wineries pouring at The Great Rosé Pairing for Summer consumer event in June received Gold and above honors at the April competition.

“Experience Rosé is all about providing extraordinary experiences for everyone who revels in our passion for Rosé and its infinite possibilities all year-long – foodie to newbie, winemaker to chef,” says Palmer. “Our dedication to excellence began with the Competition and continues with The Great Rose Pairing for Summer in June, followed by The Great Rose Pairing for Thanksgiving in October.”

The Great Rosé Pairing for Summer will take place at The CIA at Copia in Napa, on Saturday, June 16, from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will sip winning wines from Experience Rosé: The 2018 Competition paired with gourmet cuisine from six major rosé producing regions (France, Italy, Spain, Northern California, Central California and Southern California) prepared by teams of emerging star chef CIA students and led by Lars Kronmark, Professor of Culinary Arts at CIA California.

Experience Rosé has confirmed a number of wineries to pour at the June event, including Draxton Wines, who took Top honors and Best of Show at Experience Rosé: The 2018 Competition * for its 2017 Pinot Meunier Rosé, Napa Valley, and garnered an impressive 100-point score. Other wineries to will pour include: August Hill Winery (Illinois), Blue Sky Vineyard (Illinois), Don Sebastiani & Sons, E&J Gallo, Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery, Galena Cellars Vineyard and Winery (Illinois), Handley Cellars, Le Grand Courtage, Red Car Wine Co., StarView Vineyards (Illinois), Twelve Oaks (Illinois), and Wilson Winery.

In addition, a sampling of rosé cocktails and summer refreshers using Hangar 1®’s newly launched rosé infused vodka will be prepared by CIA’s wine and beverage students. This multifaceted event will also include special arts programming and XR Talks – an educational series featuring presentations, panel discussions and pairings. Jubilant music will be provided by Steel Jam.

Prior to the event, Chef Lars Kronmark will hold an Experience Rosé Challenge at The CIA at Greystone in St. Helena to select student teams for each of the six tasting regions. Student teams will work from a set list of ingredients provided to them to create a dish specific to their desired region. Each team’s dish will be judged by Chef Kronmark and other CIA faculty. Selected teams will go on to serve their regionally inspired creations at the event.

Attendees to The Great Rosé Pairing for Summer event on June 16 will get in on the voting action with the Experience Rosé People’s Choice Award. Upon check-in each guest will be given two tokens: one to vote for their favorite CIA student team and the other to vote for best Wine and Beverage team. Votes will be tallied at the end of the event and the winning teams will be announced.
