Notre Vue Estate offers art scholarship

Winner will receive cash award and artwork will become a label

Windsor, Sonoma County, January 2020 – Notre Vue Estate’s founders and proprietors Bob and Renee Stein are announcing The Bob & Renée Stein Notre Vue Art Scholarship.  It was created to celebrate and promote the growth of the Northern California arts community, and to encourage emerging artists to pursue their passions. Applications are due by May 15, and the scholarship amount is $2,000. The winner’s artwork will also become a label for one of the winery’s wines.

Eligible are students or graduate students majoring in art, photography or graphic design who are enrolled full-time in or accepted to an accredited California post-secondary educational institution. Applications can be submitted at https://www.notrevueartfund.com/apply.

“Some of the greatest art ever seen is yet to be created,” explain Bob and Renée Stein. “That’s why we decided to help out a few young hopefuls as they evolve through their college careers and into the world of art. We can’t wait to see what they produce, and we’re delighted to be able to help them,” they add. More about the scholarship at: https://www.notrevueartfund.com/

The Steins founded the Notre Vue Estate in 1992 after discovering the beauty of its natural art: in particular, its breathtaking views of the rolling hills and vineyards of Sonoma County.

To ensure that the beauty lives on for future generations, Bob & Renee dedicated 350 acres of the property as a “forever wild” nature preserve in perpetuity. Notre Vue Estate encompasses 710 acres of land in both the Chalk Hill and Russian River Valley appellations.  The vineyards are planted to 18 varietals.

The winery’s current releases are 2017 Balverne Chardonnay ($28), 2018 Balverne Reserve Sauvignon Blanc ($27), 2018 Balverne Reserve Pinot Noir ($45) and Notre Vue NV North Coast Brut Sparkling ($35).

The winery offers numerous special events. Upcoming are a Valentine’s Day sushi making class on February 14, a Winemaker Blending Seminar on February 23, Barrel Tasting Weekend on March 6-8, Pinot & Ribs Happy Hour on March 20, Somm-Led Wine Education on April 5, A Vineyard Hike with the Winemaker on April 19, Movie Night on May 1, a Spring Floral Workshop on May 3, a Cheese Pairing Class on May 16 and Summer Sundays on June 7, July 5 and August 2.
