Happy National Vodka Day! This versatile libation is the most popular spirit sold in North America (it outpaced bourbon in the 1970s). It’s also literally awesome water, because its name is derived from the Russian word “voda,” which means water, and that’s awesome. Why not try something new to celebrate. Here’s a suggestion from California’s Humboldt Distillery:

Frozen Harvey Milk Wallbanger

  • 1.5 oz Humboldt Dist Vodka

  • 1 oz. Orange Juice

  • .5. oz Lime Juice

  • .5 oz. Vanilla Simple Syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.)

  • .5 oz. Galliano

  • 1 cup ice

Blend all ingredients in a blender. Layer and top with Madagascar vanilla whip
