San Diego, CA (July 23, 2019) –SommCon® returns to San Diego, CA, November 13-15, 2019, bringing together beverage industry professionals of all levels to discuss, develop, and lead the conversation on the business of wine.

SommCon’s education is built by some of today’s most influential palates for trade professionals and serious enthusiasts who have a passion for wine and spirits, and an unyielding quest for knowledge.

SommCon boasts over 50 educational sessions, workshops and master classes. Learn and taste alongside the industry’s best and brightest through professionally designed seminars and power networking created to advance palates and shape the future of today’s rising food and beverage professionals.

The conference begins on Wednesday, November 13 with pre-conference seminars available to full conference holders only.

The main conference is held Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15, and includes in-depth regional explorations, hosted tasting breaks, and thought provoking discussions about the business of wine. NEW this year, SommCon introduces Concours d’Spirits presented by The Somm Journal.

Concours d’Spirits is an impartial competition of domestic and international spirits judged by Sommeliers during SommCon San Diego. All entries are judged by a blind jury of 12 world-renowned palates, ensuring that all competition submissions are treated uniformly and fairly. Medal winners are featured in a public tasting during SommCon and receive exposure throughout the conference as well as amplification through The Somm Journal, its magazine, digital and social outlets.
