ROMBAUER VINEYARDS NAMES ALISON SURGEON NATIONAL SALES MANAGER
Kristine Pederson is welcomed as Northern California and Hawaii Regional Sales Manager
St. Helena, CA, August 2018 —- Alison Surgeon has been promoted to National Sales Manager at Rombauer Vineyards, in an announcement from Bob Knebel, President and CEO. In addition, Kristine Pederson, formerly of Monterey Bay Wine Company, has joined Rombauer as Northern California and Hawaii Regional Sales Manager.
Surgeon has been with Rombauer since October of 2004, beginning as the winery’s Sales and Marketing Assistant and rising through the ranks to become California Sales Manager and most recently Northern California and Hawaii Regional Sales Manager. Her appointment as National Sales Manager recognizes the deep experience and expertise she has gained in the fourteen years since joining the winery. Surgeon is a graduate of Sonoma State University’s Executive MBA for Wine Business and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Sonoma State University.
“Our entire team is thrilled to see Alison receive this well-deserved promotion,” commented Knebel. “She has been a passionate, unrelenting brand ambassador from the very beginning. Her extensive brand knowledge and hard work ethic as well as her commitment to the team and the Rombauer family have contributed enormously to our success in the marketplace. We look forward to her continued leadership as she takes on this expanded role,” he added.
Stepping into Surgeon’s shoes as Rombauer’s Northern California and Hawaii Regional Sales Manager is Kristine Pederson. Pederson most recently served as a Senior Account Specialist with Monterey Bay Wine Company where she was responsible for sales and account management for a number of wineries, including Rombauer Vineyards. A graduate of UC Davis and a Certified Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine, Pederson has over twenty years of experience in the wine industry, including sales positions and harvest internships at several California wineries. “Kristine has represented Rombauer in the marketplace for many years and she comes to us with meaningful wine experience as well as a deep appreciation for our brand,” commented Knebel. “She’s a natural fit for this important role,” he said.
