Negroni Week 2020 has shifted from its traditional June focus, now taking place mostly virtually September 14-20. The idea for Negroni Week is to celebrate and support the hospitality industry. And the way this year has gone, it’s the perfect time to join the effort—and enjoy yourself while doing so. Here’s a recipe from Uncle Val’s that adds a seasonally inspired twist on the classic libation.
Peppered Negroni
1 oz. Uncle Val’s Peppered Gin
1 oz. La Pivón Rojo Vermouth
1 oz. Campari
Build gin, vermouth and Campari in a cocktail mixing glass, stir about 20 revolutions with a mixing spoon. Strain over a large ice cube in a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a slick of an orange peel.
