This year’s Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival, a celebration of bountiful grape harvests, amazing local culinary creations and rich cultural history, gets underway September 28-30.

Kicking off the weekend festivities is the Opening Night Gala with wineries sharing their best varietals as well as food tastings from local restauranteurs, live music from Rip Tide and a silent auction. Some of the wineries pouring are Buena Vista Winery, Gundlach Bundschu, Cline Cellars, Walt Wines, Schug Winery, Benziger Winery and Highway 12 Wines, among others.

Throughout the weekend all around the historic Sonoma Plaza, visitors can taste wine from over 20 premium wineries while strolling through the plaza browsing beautiful art from Bay area and local artists. Wineries such as Rodney Strong, Eco Terreno and Sonoma-Loeb, will be serving award-winning wines ensuring everyone has their fill. Known as Sip, Shop and Savor, the wine tasting ticket includes a custom souvenir wine glass, commemorative charm and four tastings.
