NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – September 24, 2019 – Acumen is excited to announce that the Acumen Napa Valley Tasting Room will be hosting a solo exhibit featuring award-winning international artist Chris Cammarata from now until November 30th, 2019. Entitled “First Flight,” the exhibit will spotlight numerous works in mixed media and acrylics by Cammarata, who is globally recognized for his stylized images and bold use of high-contrast monochromatic imagery. Subjects of Cammarata’s art include The Beatles and David Bowie, and his works have been commissioned by leading art galleries and collectors around the world, most notably the royal family of Monaco, for whom he created portraits of Grace Kelly. Guests may experience “First Flight” at the Acumen Tasting Room, located at 1315 First Street in downtown Napa every Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and by appointment Monday through Wednesday.

“Chris is a visionary artist,” says Acumen Sales and Marketing Director Diana Schweiger. “His artwork is vibrant and thought provoking, while being both timeless and beautifully contemporary. In many ways, his aesthetic parallels our own approach to crafting wine. We are incredibly proud to host Chris’s first solo exhibit, which is fittingly called, ‘First Flight.’”

For those wishing to meet Chris Cammarata, the Acumen Napa Valley Tasting Room will be hosting a special event on October 12th, from 4 to 7 p.m., where guests will be invited to taste a selection of Acumen’s renowned wines paired with delicious artisan cheeses for a fee of $35. This special tasting will feature the coveted 2015 PEAK Edcora Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which recently earned a perfect 100-point score.

While admission to First Flight is complimentary during regular Thursday through Sunday visiting hours, guest may also choose to enjoy several tasting options. These include the Acumen Estate Tasting hosted in the stylish Tasting Lounge, or The Summit Experience, which features a guided tasting of the Acumen portfolio paired alongside a selection of local cheese and charcuterie. Individual and private small-group tastings are also available by appointment.
