Midas Mead, the renowned luxury meadery, has been selected as a finalist for the Food and Drink Federation’s Prestigious Environmental Leadership Award.

Known for their iconic bottles, Midas Mead is the UK’s most exclusive meadery specialising in the highest quality, luxury honey wines. Midas Mead also offer a unique, all encompassing, bespoke service tailored to any desire, thus making the already rare drink truly one of a kind.

Midas Mead’s nomination as a finalist was secured by their Reforestation Program. This regeneration of woodland provides a safe haven for wildlife whose habitats have been destroyed by overdevelopment and the expansions of towns and cities across Britain. Not only does this aid biodiversity of the local fauna, but it has also meant that Midas Mead is carbon negative, making it one of the few companies that produces less CO2 than they capture each year.

Using their own sapling nursery Midas Mead’s unorthodox and grass roots approach protects the local bio-integrity by stopping the introduction of diseases.
