Felipe Camarena’s Terralta Tequila Is Now Available Across the United States

Hold the Salt and the Lime When It Comes to this Additive-free, Craft Brand

WILMINGTON, DE (July 21, 2020) – Calling all tequila aficionados. Terralta Tequila has announced its products will now be available throughout the United States – just in time for National Tequila Day, on Friday, July 24.

From legendary tequila maker Felipe Camarena, at distillery El Pandillo, the Terralta Tequila portfolio includes Blanco (80 proof), 110-proof Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, and Extra Anejo, and for the first time in the U.S. Terralta 110-proof Extra Anejo. The suggested retail price ranges from $49 to $299.

Earlier this month, Terralta Tequila was verified by Tequila Matchmaker as an additive-free tequila. The distillery and brand were subject to a rigorous verification process.

“We have nothing to hide,” said Camarena. “We thought this was a great opportunity to show consumers that our brand is real and additive-free.”

Terralta Tequila is made from naturally-grown and hand-picked estate agave (even removing stems that could add bitterness), the same natural yeast his family has used for more than 80 years and deep well water (450+ feet). Terralta Tequila does not use diffusors or add anything that is not natural or could change the natural flavor or aromas of their spirits.

Translated to English, Terralta pays homage to the terrain from which the ingredients are found and distilled: the “high land.” Third-generation tequila producer, Camarena created the El Pandillo distillery on a family plot of land, in Jesus Maria, Jalisco, where he makes Terralta Tequila.

As part of the Terralta strategic growth plan, the company is finalizing enlargements to its distillery to add three more ovens and two additional tahonas. The expansion is slated for completion at the end of 2021.

The launch comes at a pivotal time in the spirits and tequila industry as sales have been hitting record-breaking figures and tequila driving a vast majority of those numbers.

Terralta Tequila appointed Chopin Imports as their exclusive U.S. distributor in February 2019. Since the announcement, the brand has received overwhelming excitement and positivity.

About Terralta Tequila

Founded in 2011 by third generation tequila-maker, Felipe Camarena, Terralta Tequila marries time-honored tequila-making tradition with his innovations; inventions such as the rooftop rainwater collection system, “Igor” a one-of-a-kind agave shredder and “Frankenstein” a mechanical replacement for the tahona process. Created in the El Pandillo distillery, located in Jesus Maria, Jalisco, the Terralta Tequila portfolio includes five expressions made from naturally-grown and hand-picked agave (even removing stems that could add bitterness), the same natural yeast his family has used for more than 80 years and deep well water (450+ feet). Terralta does not produce or use an artificial ingredient in its tequilas and focuses on superior ingredients and the influence deep earth well water plays in its products.
