SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS AVA FALL EVENTS

SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association (SCMWA) announces 7 upcoming Fall events.

Saturday, August 24 – Taste of the Mountains Celebrates Santa Cruz Mountains Wines. Enjoy an afternoon of tasting and discovering wines from small, local boutique wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains in one location. Taste wines from 16 winemakers of the Santa Cruz Mountains paired with light appetizers provided by Enoteca La Storia. Purchase your favorites from the bottle booth and enjoy dinner at Enoteca La Storia follow! Participating wineries will offer wines for sale at the Bottle Booth. Tickets are $55 in advance/$65 at the door.

Sunday, September 1 – Experience the Barrels of Corralitos and enjoy wines from six Santa Cruz Mountains wineries including Alfaro Family Vineyards, El Vaquero Winery, Lester Estate Wines, Nicholson Vineyards, Storrs Winery & Vineyards and Windy Oaks Estate Vineyards & Winery. Join the wineries of the idyllic Corralitos Wine Trail in the Santa Cruz Mountains for a day of wine tasting, food & entertainment: taste new and yet to be released wines; purchases futures at special barrel pricing; live music and food for purchase; commemorative logo glass. Tickets start at $75 with early bird pricing.

Sunday, September 8 – Celebrate harvest under the stars at Deer Park Ranch with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Join preeminent producers of the Santa Cruz Mountains for an evening of award-winning wine and delicious food. Sample wines from the Santa Cruz Mountains during the wine reception while bidding on wine lots in the silent auction. Following the reception, sit down for a local, farm-to-table dinner prepared by Brad Briske, Chef and Owner of HOME restaurant in Soquel. Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir and Chardonnay will flow freely! Proceeds benefit Hospice of Santa Cruz County. $150 per person, $140 before July 31st.

Saturday, October 12 – Join four wineries from the iconic Montebello Road in Cupertino for a day of food, entertainment and wine tasting at Top of the Mountain Wine Fest. Participating wineries include Vidovich Vineyards, Ridge Vineyards, Naumann Vineyards & Fellom Ranch Vineyards. Each winery will feature something unique – from special flights and library wines to live music, and appetizers. Tickets are $50.

Saturday, November 2 – The Santa Cruz Mountains most celebrated Cabernet event: Premier Cruz, A Mountain Cabernet Experience Harvest Dinner at House Family Vineyards from 6pm to 9pm. Taste Cabernet Sauvignon from premier winemakers of the Santa Cruz Mountains paired with delectable small bites and bid on rare, exclusive and library wines. Several rare older vintages will be offered including selections from Ridge Vineyards, Kathryn Kennedy and Mount Eden Vineyards. Tickets are $160, $150 before October 18.

Saturday, November 16 – Celebrate Santa Cruz Mountains November Passport Day. Over the last 20 years the event has become a beloved tradition among wine lovers who enjoy wines produced by our legendary, artisan winemakers all within the idyllic Santa Cruz Mountains. On the third Saturday of January, April, July and November, Passport aficionados are welcomed into 50+ wineries throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains, each offering a unique winery experience. The possibilities are as varied as the wineries themselves and promise a fun, unforgettable day. Passports are valid for 1 year and are $75.

Saturday, December 7 – The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association and the City of Menlo Park present the Taste of the Mountains Wine Walk in Downtown Menlo Park. All ticket proceeds from the event will benefit the Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation. Enjoy wines from small, local boutique wineries poured in various designated tasting locations up and down Santa Cruz Avenue. Check in for your wristband, glass, and a map of the pouring locations – then enjoy an afternoon of tasting and discovering. Tickets are $49 and include a commemorative tasting glass
