“WORLDS BEST SIGNATURE BOTANICAL GIN 2019”
as well as “WORLD’S BEST SPANISH GIN” in both the contemporary and signature categories.
WORLD GIN AWARDS 2019 attracted numerous gins from all over the World. Gins were blind tasted, with only the ABV and style disclosed. Gins were sampled individually over a two-week period with judges tasting and scoring to strict guidelines. Amongst the competitors were well established Gin Brands as well as new artisan gins showing another excellent year of innovation and growth for the gin industry.
In the first round, both the GIN EVA gins that were entered won BEST SPANISH GIN in each category.
GIN EVA “La Mallorquina” Olive was awarded the BEST Spanish Gin in the Signature .
GIN EVA Signature Citrus Gin was awarded BEST Spanish Gin in the contemporary category.
Both Gins went forward to the Best GIN in the World in each category.
The World Gin Awards were held at the Honourable Artillery Company in the centre of London on the 21st February 2019 with the winners announced.
GIN EVA “La Mallorquina” Olive Gin WON the WORLD’S BEST SIGNATURE BOTANICAL GIN.
“La Mallorquina” is distilled with just three botanicals, Olive being the star of the show. The olives are grown on century old Olive Trees in the Valldemossa Valley on the Island of Mallorca. Once the Olives are pressed for the oil, GIN EVA use the rest of the Olive to produce this amazing gin.

GIN EVA – Artisan Gin Range distilled in Mallorca – Majorca, Spain with botanicals locally grown from the Mediterranean island. Each batch is small and exclusively distilled to perfection by Eva & Stefan producing just over 70 bottles per distillation process.
The main Botanicals are prepared by hand with love and using fresh ingredients which makes each batch unique adding to the excitement and an element of curiosity to the product.
As well as the Citrus based Signature gin, GIN EVA’s limited-edition range has developed. Popular “La Mallorquina” Dry Olive Gin, is a smooth and sophisticated savoury Gin. “Bergamot” Gin, a refreshing citrus palate with a hint of Juniper. “Old Tom” Gin which has been distilled and stored in Mallorcan Oak red wine barrels – thus resulting in an amber coloured Gin with a balanced palate of Citrus and Oak. “Green Spice” Gin which has been distilled with an array of carefully selected Herbs and Spices in collaboration with Germany Michelin star Chef Ingo Holland.
Niche Alcohol Supplies introduced the GIN EVA Gins to the UK market in August 2017 after discovering it whilst on holiday. What a journey this has been.
