A beloved historic property has a new tasting room, art gallery and outdoor venue for a picturesque Wine Country experience.
Sonoma, CA – The Frank H. Bartholomew Foundation and Kevin Holt are pleased to announce the opening of Bartholomew Estate Winery on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Visitors can sample Bartholomew Estate Winery’s new wines produced by noted winemaker Kevin Holt, stroll through the Plein Air exhibit, explore the lush grounds, succulent patio garden and the enchanted oak knoll, and hike the newly re-opened Bartholomew Park trails, which have been closed since the 2017 wildfires.
“We are thrilled to invite friends and neighbors back to the winery. We are even more excited to have them experience the new touches and renovations both inside and out. The winemaker, Kevin Holt, is especially excited to share the wines he crafted from the estate vines. “I have long understood that the best way to make great wine is to discover and express the character of great vineyards. Never in my career has this been more true, or more readily accomplished, than in working with the historic vineyards at Bartholomew Estate. The quality of these vines, and the wines they can produce, is simply wonderful. I look forward to sharing these unique wines with everyone who visits.”
Bartholomew Estate Winery is also delighted to announce that it is hosting a wonderful exhibit of local Plein Air artists curated by the Sonoma Plein Air Foundation. The artwork will be displayed in the winery’s museum wing on a rotating schedule, adjacent to the tasting room. Visitors can stroll through the exhibit taking their time to enjoy the art and the wine and perhaps find themselves in love with a piece to bring home. 25% of the proceeds from art sales are a tax-deductible donation that directly supports art education in local public schools and community organizations.
