Women of the Vine & Spirits Announces the First-of-its-Kind List of Women Leaders in the Alcohol Beverage Industry, Worldwide
Visibility of women in traditionally male-dominated roles and industries
cannot be underestimated

October 7, 2019 (New York, NY) – Women of the Vine & Spirits, the world’s leading membership organization dedicated to empowering and advancing women in the alcohol beverage industry, announced today that they have compiled a list to publicly raise awareness and increase visibility of women in leadership roles, worldwide.

The Women of the Vine & Spirits (WOTVS) C-Suite proudly honors and recognizes women that hold traditional C-Suite roles, as well as senior leadership positions such as Head Winemaker, Master Distiller, Brewmaster, etc. The women on this list have earned their place at the top as forward-thinkers, disruptors, innovators, and icons using their voice and position to inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

“The visibility of female role models plays a significant role in inspiring other women to pursue similar careers, as well as proving that success in a male-dominated industry is achievable,” said Deborah Brenner, Founder & CEO, Women of the Vine & Spirits.

In a recent study conducted by KPMG, 86 percent of women reported that when they see more women in leadership, they are encouraged they can get there themselves.

The WOTVS C-Suite provides a global platform for female leaders to be recognized by the industry at large, create visibility to buyers, wholesalers, supplier diversity managers, vendors and consumers; and also provides a public space for companies to demonstrate their commitment to gender diversity and inclusion.

“At Breakthru, we believe there is real strength in diversity and inclusion, and we are proud to work with leaders like Deborah Brenner at Women of the Vine & Spirits to advance the interests of women in our industry,” said E. Lloyd Sobel, Chief Operations Officer, Breakthru Beverage. “With their new C-Suite initiative, Women of the Vine & Spirits has created an essential platform to recognize women leaders and their contributions; making these powerful role models more visible to the industry at large.”
