APRIL 9 — SAN ANTONIO — As nationwide restrictions have forced businesses of all types to transition their business models in order to survive, several San Antonio companies have adapted by working to protect employees and the public from the coronavirus.

Several notable liquor distilleries have responded by using their existing infrastructure to support their communities with hand sanitizers or similar disinfectants, which are scarce on store shelves.

Regional distilleries, including Rebecca Creek Distillery – which produces Enchanted Rock Vodka, Texas Ranger Whiskey and Rebecca Creek Whiskey – Desert Door Distillery, and Seeksucker Distillery have recently announced that they have launched lines of hand sanitizers for area residents, first responders and medical personnel.

In addition Helmy Associates & Co. Inc., a local plastics manufacturer has developed its own proprietary face shields to protect its workers from fluids spread by the coronavirus. As noted in a recent report by the San Antonio Business Journal, the shields were designed to protect its employees as the business absorbs additional orders due to the pandemic.

With these switches, each of these companies enlisted the services of San Antonio-based Accu-Labels to assist in the label and packaging process — with Accu-Labels executing the production of the new product’s and tool’s packaging.

Accu-Labels launched earlier this year, as part of a larger acquisition and is a dedicated
products brand, identity, and packaging provider. Its parent company is San Antonio-based
the e.f. marketing group.

Accu-Labels founder, Jason Ellis expressed his support for area small businesses in a statement.

“We started Accu-Labels with a mission to support small business and entrepreneurs in all industries,” he said. “Since then, we have seen changes in the line of business and an immediate need to get their new products out. As business owners change how they do business for the immediate future, we are ready to help communicate those changes to their customers. We wish all of them great success navigating these challenging times.”

Ellis encourages companies that are considering the development of new product lines to contact his team. Interested parties can contact Accu-Labels at 210.692.1927 or by email at dustin@accu-labels.com.
