The MRA provides access, influence and protection to restaurant professionals allowing for the ultimate opportunity to lead businesses. Before the pandemic, one out of every ten employees in the state was employed directly in or in supporting industries of the restaurant industry, an undeniable driving force in the state’s economy but suffering greatly during this time.  It is projected that nearly one quarter of the restaurants in Massachusetts will permanently close as a result of the economic fallout due to the coronavirus.

“During these unprecedented times, the Massachusetts Restaurant Association has stepped up to provide local restaurant owners and employees invaluable informational resources and leadership” said founder & CEO Rhonda Kallman of Boston Harbor Distillery. “We intend to donate over $25,000 from all Putnam New England Whiskey sales to help support the industry in our local communities. Help us reach our goal by raising a glass of Putnam New England Whiskey and spread the good word.”

“We are honored and grateful for Boston Harbor Distillery’s support and the #RYESUP campaign during this time” said President and CEO Bob Luz of MRA. “The restaurants are suffering greatly, and our own local distiller continues to step up to support the industry, and this is one of the many reasons why Boston Harbor Distillery was named MRA’s Business Partner of the Year.”

Join restauranteurs such as Andy Husbands of The Smoke Shop BBQ, Steve DiFillippo of Davio’s, Mike Shaw of Fat Baby and Asia Mei of Moonshine 152, as their bartenders share their favorite Putnam Whiskey cocktails and tips for making the perfect cocktail. New cocktail videos will be released every few days featuring a different restaurant and their uniquely curated cocktail. Videos can be found on Boston Harbor Distillery website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. In addition to restaurants, retailers around the state are supporting #RYESUP by offering varieties of Putnam New England Whiskey to support the cause.
