Santa Rosa, Calif., (January 17 2019) SUNSET Magazine, the leading media brand of the Western lifestyle announced today its call for entries in the 2019 Sunset International Wine Competition. Established in 2012, the Sunset International Wine Competition was the most successful launch of a wine competition in U.S. history and garnered more than 3,300 entries in 2016.

“Sunset’s readers love our wine coverage, and the re-launch of this competition represents a renewed commitment to this vibrant and important world,” said Editor-in-Chief Matt Bean. “The legitimacy of a wine competition hinges on the credibility of the judges and the judging process, and the power of the Sunset brand will help set us apart.”

Top winners will benefit from significant Sunset media promotion through print, web, social media, PR, and events in the May competition, results of which will be announced in the fall special food and wine focused issue. Wine Competitions Management & Productions (WCM&P) will manage the competition.

“When you combine the reputation and influence of Sunset combined with our ability to bring together the most experienced wine judging professionals, including award winning winemakers, Master Sommeliers, Masters of Wine, wine buyers, and key media, this becomes a must-enter competition for any winery looking for the exposure to the ideal wine drinking audience” according to Debra Del Fiorentino, founder and president of WCM&P.
