Breathless Wines recently released three new varieties to their bubbly lineup.
Breathless Wines is a boutique family winery, founded in 2012 in Healdsburg, CA, by the love of three Sonoma County sisters, Sharon Cohn, Rebecca Faust, and Cynthia Faust, and the passion for life that their mother passed down to them. Along with acclaimed Winemaker Penny Gadd-Coster, the honorary 4th sister, this powerful female-led team is dedicated to crafting refreshing method champenoise sparkling wines that pair perfectly with life’s special moments. Breathless is about celebration and rejoicing the occasions that take one’s breath away. The sparkling and lauded venture is in honor of the sisters’ Mother, Martha, who encouraged dreaming big — and to never take a single breath for granted.

2016 Breathless Wines McMinn Vineyard Blanc de Blancs

Artfully crafted by award-winning winemaker Penny Gadd-Coster, this single vineyard Blanc de Blancs shines brightly with the delicious flavors of yellow delicious apple, a hint of lemon and citrus blossom. The Healdsburg vineyard where the premium grapes were sourced is acclaimed for its amazing Chardonnays and was selected as the ideal location to showcase the best of this varietal and region. This extra special wine is a “Brut Nature” meaning no dose or extra sugar has been added resulting in a splendid dry effervescence. This Blanc de Blancs pairs perfectly with a variety of foods and life’s joyful moments!
2016 Breathless Wines Pommard Clone Blanc de Noirs

Extraordinary is the just start to capture the essence of this clone for sparkling. Mainly used for Burgundian-style still wines, it brings a very unique characteristic to our bubble blends: rich, yet delicate, making it a perfect base component. This wine offers delectable notes of cherry, strawberry, earth, a hint of citrus – all the goodness a great Pinot Noir typically brings. Clone Blanc de Noirs is an excellent year-round choice as each sip ensures no breath is taken for granted!
2016 Breathless Wines Robledo Vineyard Blanc de Noirs

This single vineyard bubbly is sourced from the Sonoma Carneros region distinguished for their sparkling wine destined Pinot Noir grapes. Winemaker Penny has vast knowledge of this vineyard and their outstanding fruit; wishing to create a varietal that showcased them on their own. The wine offers an incredibly light earthiness complemented by beautiful dark cherry notes. This Blanc de Noirs embodies the celebration of life’s breathless moments!
