New York, NY (September 1o, 2020) —Campari America, the U.S. subsidiary of Campari Group, the sixth-largest spirits company in the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Sengara as the company’s new Vice President, Marketing. Leading a distinct portfolio of culture-defining spirits brands, Sengara joins the organization at a time of unprecedented transition, opportunity, and growth. With a people-first mentality, Sengara oversees a seasoned group of spirits professionals who have created breakthrough campaigns for visionary brands. Andrea joins Campari America with more than 20 years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry.

“It is an extremely interesting time to join Campari America,” Ms. Sengara states. “Amidst the challenges our industry faces, Campari America is a rapidly expanding business, with many exciting, acquisitions, and fast-growing brands in highly desirable and diverse categories, like bourbon, tequila and aperitifs. Every brand wants to cement their status within the cultural fabric of consumers’ lives, and our diverse portfolio is already well on its way – whether it’s dominating summer and social feeds with a swath of Aperol Spritz orange vibrancy, supporting a world-class, global philanthropy program vis-à-vis Negroni Week, or launching a hot growth brand such as Espolòn Tequila.”

In her newly-appointed role, Sengara will lead all facets of marketing for Campari Group’s premium portfolio of brands – from groundbreaking innovation to digital transformation. In an industry where brands are inherently social, Sengara will explore what experiences and consumer engagement looks like in a post-COVID environment – identifying new opportunities to help 21+ consumers discover and experience Campari America’s portfolio of brands.

Though the industry is undergoing changes due to the current climate, Sengara is confident that Campari America can adapt and appeal to a new generation of drinkers, while maintaining its agility and collaborative ways of working. “Today’s modern marketing landscape demands we optimize e-commerce and media in new ways – leveraging relevant technology to engage consumers and trade partners alike. I see this challenge as one of our industry’s greatest opportunities,” Sengara stated.

Andrea actively participates in the marketing profession’s most notable groups, including ANA Master’s Circle and AdWeek’s CMO Symposium, working across multiple disciplines to define the future of marketing. A resident of Rye, New York, Sengara mixes her business acumen with an adventurous streak. She’s explored and resided in many parts of the world, and greatly enjoys scuba diving, kickboxing and racing sailboats. As a working mother, she understands the importance of a healthy balance between work and life. Andrea looks forward to the day when she can venture into Campari’s Headquarters in New York City’s illustrious Grace Building, where she’ll toast her new team with a Boulevardier – equal parts Campari, Russell’s Reserve 10-Year-Old Bourbon and Cinzano 1757 Vermouth.

“On behalf of our entire organization here in the U.S. and our global headquarters in Milan, Italy, I want to welcome Andrea to Campari America,” said Ugo Fiorenzo, Managing Director, Campari America. “I am confident that her forward-thinking leadership will unleash opportunities for our brands and our people through disruptive, omni-channel strategies.”
