NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – March 3, 2020 – Acumen is proud to announce that it will be unveiling a solo exhibit by globally acclaimed Painter and Sculptor Danette Landry at an open house hosted by the artist on Saturday, March 14th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entitled “Brix Fix,” the exhibit will include an array of original paintings by Landry, including works shipped from France and Australia specifically for the show. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Agnès Martin, Malevitch, Rothko and Richard Serra, Landry’s captivating paintings feature beautifully executed nontraditional color mixes, with an emphasis on the color red, and its power to seduce, celebrate, ignite and empower. Guests may experience “Brix Fix” at the Acumen Tasting Room, located at 1315 First Street in downtown Napa every Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and by appointment Monday through Wednesday.

“After recent exhibitions in New York and Paris, we are thrilled to share Danette’s work here in Napa Valley,” says Acumen Sales and Marketing Director Diana Schweiger. “The show is like a natural sugar rush for the senses, which is why it is called Brix Fix. Danette’s paintings leap off the wall with emotion and energy. Her captivating use of color is the perfect palette for spring, and the ideal complement to our award-winning Atlas Peak wines.”

During the complimentary March 14th open house at the Acumen Napa Valley Tasting Room, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Landry, and learn about her artistic philosophy and process. During the event, guests may also experience a special tasting featuring Acumen’s renowned wines paired with delicious artisan cheeses for a fee of $35.

The Brix Fix spring exhibit will run from March 14th until May 16th during regular Thursday through Sunday visiting hours. Visitors to the exhibit may also choose to enjoy one of Acumen’s acclaimed tasting experiences. These include the Acumen Estate Tasting, hosted in the stylish Tasting Lounge, or The Summit Experience, which features a guided tasting of the Acumen portfolio paired alongside a selection of local cheese and charcuterie. Individual and private small-group visits and tastings are also available by appointment.
