HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (April 3, 2019) – The small distillery, Lonerider Spirits continued to grow it’s collection of awards with a gold and a bronze medal at the SF World Spirits Competition for their two bourbon whiskies finished in sherry casks.

Lonerider Single Barrel Sherry Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey (58.9% alc/vol) was awarded a gold medal and Lonerider Sherry Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey (40% alc/vol) was awarded a bronze medal at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the judging panels consist of 40 of the most respected, experienced experts in the spirits industry. Throughout the four days of highly controlled blind tastings, the experienced judging panels taste every product to decide if it is medal-worthy. Judges do not receive any information on producer or price point, ensuring each spirit is judged fairly, equally and without bias.

“The competition is very tough at these events – we were very humbled that our Single Barrel Sherry Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey placed so well – this spirit was a reward from our Kickstarter campaign that will be available in the fall of 2019 as a limited release,” says Chris Mielke, President of Lonerider Spirits. “Thanks to all the outlaws who supported us in our endeavor of creating fine spirits – their input helps us determine which spirits to release.”

Lonerider Spirits also won a bronze medal from the ACSA (American Craft Spirits Association) and a gold medal from the ADI (American Distilling Institute) this year at their annual awards.
