Montanya Distillers, a craft rum distillery and Certified B Corporation®, has hired Andrea Schumacher to serve as the distillery’s Director of Human Resources and Business Development. In her new role, Schumacher oversees all the HR operations for Montanya’s 30+ member team. She will also work to help the company to handle many growth and expansion projects, including the on-going distillery expansion and the addition of new corporate technologies.

Schumacher joins Montanya from Eleven Experience, an outdoor experiential travel company, where she worked as its Global HR Director. “There is no question that Montanya has been experiencing growing pains, and Andrea has already proven herself to be an asset as we create a sustainable and proactive pathway to growth,” said Karen Hoskin, owner/founder of Montanya Distillers. “Our people are the center of our business and they are critical to every project we have underway. Andrea is the bridge to assure we remain innovative and true to our principles along that path. She’s passionate about social and environmental responsibility and helping Montanya with our global expansion. Like all of us, she will be stretching into new areas of expertise, but her strong foundation will be crucial to our ongoing success.”

Andrea has lived in Crested Butte, Colo., Montanya’s hometown, since 2003 and loves to mountain bike, hike, ski, and play ice hockey. If you’d like to learn more about Montanya and the other members of our team, please visit http://montanyadistillers.com/.
