Mahesh Madhavan has been named CEO of Bacardi, taking over the role vacated by Michael Dolan, who retired after three years in the role. “Mike and Mahesh have worked closely to carry out the succession smoothly, and the board is delighted with the progress they achieved,” said company Chairman Facundo Bacardi at the time of the announcement. “With more than 20 years at Bacardi, in different roles in different geographies, Mahesh has a tremendous track record of success.”

As part of the succession plan, John Burke has been named global chief marketing officer of Bacardi and president of Bacardi Global Brands Ltd., and Ignacio del Valle has been named regional president for Latin America and the Caribbean.
